Welcome to our website! As we have the ability to list over one million items on our website (our selection changes all of the time), it is not feasible for a company our size to record and playback the descriptions on every item on our website. However, if you have a disability we are here to help you. Please call our disability services phone line at 615-965-2402 during regular business hours and one of our kind and friendly personal shoppers will help you navigate through our website, help conduct advanced searches, help you choose the item you are looking for with the specifications you are seeking, read you the specifications of any item and consult with you about the products themselves. There is no charge for the help of this personal shopper for anyone with a disability. Finally, your personal shopper will explain our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and help you place an order if you so desire.

“If you need a great deal on your next appliance, just come see D.A.D. (Discount Appliance Depot)!”

Q - Why should I consider a “scratch & dent” appliance?

A – Simple: When offered by a reputable dealer, “scratch and dent” appliances are most often “new” appliances that sustained minor cosmetic damage during shipping to the retail store or during delivery to a customer’s home, and were sent back to the manufacturer or the big box retailer. They are then offered to “scratch and dent” dealers by the truckload at huge savings which are then passed on to the consumer. In most cases, the damage is not visible once the appliance is installed, or is so minor that it doesn’t distract from the overall look and customer’s enjoyment of the appliance.

Q – What are the risks of buying “scratch & dent” appliances?

A – The biggest risk involved with purchasing “scratch & dent” appliances exists more with the dealer you are buying from than with the appliance itself. While most “scratch & dent” appliances simply have cosmetic damage, some might have been returned due to mechanical or electrical problems. Also, in many cases, the manufacturer’s warranty is no longer valid. Many “scratch & dent” dealers get their product from brokers who get truckloads of appliances from big box stores, and those loads are a mix of appliances with minor damages and those with extensive damage, and those dealers will often mix parts and pieces of various units to create 1 “sellable” unit. Many used and “scratch & dent’ dealers sell their product “as is” with no real guarantees. So, it is important to know what your dealer has done to insure your appliance is working properly, and what (if any) guarantees they offer.

Q – Why should I buy from Discount Appliance Depot (D.A.D)?

A – We are a locally owned and operated company. So when you buy from us, you are helping support your neighbors and keeping your dollars in your community! D.A.D. buys all of our scratch & dent appliances by the truckload directly from the manufacturers through their authorized broker. The manufacturers have already gone through these inventories and discarded appliances with extensive damage, so the loads we get are quality loads. Once we receive a load of appliances, we visually inspect every unit to be sure we feel it is worthy to offer to our customers. Any that don’t pass that inspection get discarded. Then we test every appliance to be sure it is working properly, and any necessary repairs (if any) are made before it is put in our showroom. Once an appliance is made available to our customers, we include (at our expense) a 12-month extended warranty so that our customers can feel 100% confident in their purchase. And finally, unlike many dealers, we include local delivery and set up at no additional cost.

Q – Do you carry any appliances that are not “scratch & dent” or “used”?

A – YES! Currently, we proudly offer the full line of new ZLINE luxury appliances and kitchen & bath fixtures! These are all provided through custom order, and since ZLINE is a TN based company, we can generally have your product in just a few days.
